FABRICATION AFRICA WOOD

We use veneer that comes from Amos Hill, a veneer mill located in Edinburgh/ Idiana USA, and is for North American Hardwoods only. They slice White Oak, Red Oak, Cherry, Walnut, Maple, Birch and Red Elm. All logs are harvested in Indiana and its surrounding States (Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Ohio and Pennsylvania). Approximately 80% of the logs come from private landowners, 20% from State forests. Amos Hill is FSC PURE certified (code number SCS-COC-002445).

100% of the logs in the veneer mill is used for:
1) Veneer
2) Bark and Woodchips for Mulch
3) Backing boards for flooring and fences.

Wood (veneer) beats laminate, glass, steel and many other materials in the energy use during manufacturing, in the recycling possibilities and other environmental issues. Trees can also be a valuable sustainable raw material if harvested responsibly.
